How we provided consistent and
interactive meetings for manufacturing
(deskless) colleagues.

BACKGROUND

A global pharmaceutical company faced challenges with internal communications. With over 50% of all employees working in a production environment, these colleagues did not have easy access to the usual digital channels such as the intranet, email and Workplace (facebook at work).

We’d done a lot of work with this company to transform their bi-annual people events to make them more interactive. However, there was a gap in monthly key messages reaching the frontline and lack of accessible content for monthly meeting cascades.

There was also no record of Team Meetings taking place or any process for feedback and content improvement.

The Objective

Our solution needed to:

Provide engaging content every month to a difficult-to-reach audience who work within a production or lab environment.

Enable more leadership visibility with frontline colleagues.

Ensure consistent delivery of key messages across all teams and all levels if the organisation.

Provide tracking of the activity and feedback from the users on the content to allow continuous improvement.

What we did

We introduced GSK to Touchpoint, our monthly team meeting platform designed to cascade key messages and track meeting activity across the business. To tailor it, we spoke directly with teams to understand what content they wanted and how they preferred it delivered.

This helped us move away from slide-heavy, performance-focused content that often missed the mark. We worked with contributors to create more engaging content, using video, voiceovers and simplified visuals.
The content was structured into three tiers: core (for all teams), optional (for relevant project updates), and local (custom messages from business units). This gave leaders flexibility while keeping messages consistent.

To enhance delivery, we supported both in-person and virtual formats and helped install touchscreen TVs on site. This created an interactive experience where leaders could literally navigate content live, helping them focus on both the big picture and local team needs.

Finally we introduced a tracking and confirmation step which allowed monthly reports on delivery by team and gather feedback to ensure continuous improvement on the content and topics delivered.
