25 years helping organisations communicate what matters, explain what’s changing and bring their people with them. Twelve of those years as an independent consultant.
Available for strategic consultancy, interim leadership and project-based internal communications and digital workplace assignments.

Paul started his communications career at the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2001. Over the next 13 years he moved into senior internal communications and engagement roles at Churchwood Finance Group and The Co-operative Bank, where he led a team of 12 through restructuring and major change.
That is where he learned what internal comms is really like from the inside: tight deadlines, competing priorities, leaders who need a clear message and colleagues who need to know what it means for them.
In 2014 he set up 5 Point Five Ltd to bring that experience straight to clients, without agency layers or corporate complexity. Since 2020 the business has traded as The Comms Guru, and it has supported organisations including GSK, Carlsberg Group, NCUK, TalkTalk Business and Electricity North West.
